I had the opportunity to review Decorative Ceiling Tiles faux tiles and had so much fun being creative with them.

In the package, I received 2 different types of tile. One was a faux tin ceiling tile that came in an antique copper.  The other tile was a foam tile that can be painted to match your room.

My first thoughts when the package arrived was what am I going to do with just one ceiling tile?  But here is where a person can become creative and a little crafty!  The faux tin ceiling tile I received was a decorative print in antique bronze. It measures 24″x24″ and would make a great backdrop on a mantle or you could even frame it and hang it like a piece of artwork. Here is the style of decorative ceiling tile I received:

The best part is that they are only $10! Of course, it is meant to be used as drop ceiling tile but there are so many creative ways to use this as a photography backdrop or as a piece of artwork on a wall. Take a look at their website to get a few ideas!

And here is how I used my decorative tile! It works perfectly with the deep rich colors in my dining room and used it as a backdrop on the side banquet table with my holiday decorations in the room.

And here’s another one:

I had the opportunity to review the new e-book: The 25 Hottest Christmas Toys of 2011.  My husband and I have been lucky so far during the holiday season since our daughter is only 15 months old and does not realize yet that she “wants” certain toys but I was surprised to find one of the toys we were planning on buying this year is one of the top toys for infants and toddlers.

The Top Christmas Toys 2011 was very easy to read and browse through since it is categorized into sections:

  • Infants & Toddlers

  • Specialty Toys

I recently had the opportunity to review and create my own custom Mixbook Holiday Cards. The process from start to finish was very easy to do. We already had our Christmas cards made to send out to our family and friends so I took up the offer to make “thank you for my gifts” photo cards for our daughter to send out after Christmas.

{Review}  We are not hosting Christmas dinner or a New Year’s Eve party this year so I really couldn’t create a holiday party invitation but I still wanted to create a card from Mixbook since they have so many cute designs. And my idea…creating a card to say thank you for our daughter’s presents from friends and family. We normally send out thank you cards and then when she gets older, she can color a thank you picture to send out. But for now this is perfect and less writing for me 😉

I first went on their website to take a look at the pre-designed templates for Christmas cards.  I was very impressed by the quantity of layouts available to choose from.

The Mixbook pre-designed template was double-sided with an area for a few photos on each side.  The color scheme was modern and contemporary which is exactly like our family. Every part of the card was customizable: add your greeting text, photos, or even add matching “stickers” for your own personal touch to the card.  I changed the photos I took to black and white since it would look great with the color scheme of the card.

Here’s the front and back preview of our holiday cards:

So I placed my order for (30) 5″x7″ premium cardstock photo cards with white envelopes that night and I was very surprised to receive an email saying that my order was ready to ship in only a week!

Here is the final printed Christmas card:

Looks exactly like the preview and this weekend while out shopping, I found envelope stickers that match perfectly with the card design and colors!

Overall, my experience with Mixbook was great and I highly recommend them to family and friends to create their own custom holiday cards. I will be using them again in the future!

With a one year old at home with me all day, I rarely have a chance to take a bubble bath let alone a shower to wash my hair.  I had the opportunity to review QwikShower Wipes and they were a lifesaver!

{About Qwik Shower Wipes}  QwikShower is a small family owned business in Olney, Maryland that specializes in wipes to “freshen up anywhere, anytime”.  The wipes measure 10″x12″ and are conveniently single wipe packaged to carry in your purse, gym bag, locker, back pack or car.  The wipes are moistened, single use, thick disposable towels when you do not have the time or location to take a shower.

The idea started in a local high school where kids could not shower after gym class or sports practices.  What a great alternative that can be quickly opened and used. And what even better is QwikShower can help with fundraisers for any organization.

{Product Review}  I have to admit that I wish I had more time to take care of myself since having my baby but all moms make scarifies to make sure their little ones are taken care of. I tried QwikShower wipes the other day when I had to take my daughter to her doctors appointment and did not have time to jump in the shower.  The packaging was easy to open the disposable towel was a lot softer than the baby wipes I normally use to freshen up.  The towel was a nice size and the whole process took only a few minutes.  I air dried quickly and I was then ready to get dress. Overall, I would recommend QwikShower wipes to my family and friends.

{Giveaway Details}  Our friends at QwikShower wipes have offered a full size 6-pack of QwikShower wipes to one of my luck readers.  So enter below using Rafflecopter and Good Luck!
