{Review} Decorative Ceiling Tiles

I had the opportunity to review Decorative Ceiling Tiles faux tiles and had so much fun being creative with them.

In the package, I received 2 different types of tile. One was a faux tin ceiling tile that came in an antique copper.  The other tile was a foam tile that can be painted to match your room.

My first thoughts when the package arrived was what am I going to do with just one ceiling tile?  But here is where a person can become creative and a little crafty!  The faux tin ceiling tile I received was a decorative print in antique bronze. It measures 24″x24″ and would make a great backdrop on a mantle or you could even frame it and hang it like a piece of artwork. Here is the style of decorative ceiling tile I received:

The best part is that they are only $10! Of course, it is meant to be used as drop ceiling tile but there are so many creative ways to use this as a photography backdrop or as a piece of artwork on a wall. Take a look at their website to get a few ideas!

And here is how I used my decorative tile! It works perfectly with the deep rich colors in my dining room and used it as a backdrop on the side banquet table with my holiday decorations in the room.

{About the Foam Ceiling Tile} I also received the while styrofoam ceiling tile as shown below and want to use this tile as a piece of artwork in our bedroom.
I want to frame it with a natural wood frame to match our furniture in the bedroom and then paint the foam tile to match our bedroom wall color which is a light sage green.  On the inside I want  to enlarge a photo of our daughter and mount it in the middle. It’s going to look great once it is done! If you want to try this too, the tiles are on sale for $4!

{Review}  We are not hosting Christmas dinner or a New Year’s Eve party this year so I really couldn’t create a holiday party invitation but I still wanted to create a card from Mixbook since they have so many cute designs. And my idea…creating a card to say thank you for our daughter’s presents from friends and family. We normally send out thank you cards and then when she gets older, she can color a thank you picture to send out. But for now this is perfect and less writing for me ;)

I first went on their website to take a look at the pre-designed templates for Christmas cards.  I was very impressed by the quantity of layouts available to choose from.

The Mixbook pre-designed template was double-sided with an area for a few photos on each side.  The color scheme was modern and contemporary which is exactly like our family. Every part of the card was customizable: add your greeting text, photos, or even add matching “stickers” for your own personal touch to the card.  I changed the photos I took to black and white since it would look great with the color scheme of the card.

So I placed my order for (30) 5″x7″ premium cardstock photo cards with white envelopes that night and I was very surprised to receive an email saying that my order was ready to ship in only a week!

Looks exactly like the preview and this weekend while out shopping, I found envelope stickers that match perfectly with the card design and colors!

 

Overall, my experience with Mixbook was great and I highly recommend them to family and friends to create their own custom holiday cards. I will be using them again in the future!

{Product Review}  I have to admit that I wish I had more time to take care of myself since having my baby but all moms make scarifies to make sure their little ones are taken care of. I tried QwikShower wipes the other day when I had to take my daughter to her doctors appointment and did not have time to jump in the shower.  The packaging was easy to open the disposable towel was a lot softer than the baby wipes I normally use to freshen up.  The towel was a nice size and the whole process took only a few minutes.  I air dried quickly and I was then ready to get dress. Overall, I would recommend QwikShower wipes to my family and friends.
